July 2, 2010, Newsletter Issue #224: Historic San Francisco

Tip of the Week

When looking over Northern California vacation rental properties, you won't find a better area to stay than San Francisco. San Francisco is a city with great culture, great people and great vacation homes.

The city of San Francisco is home to nearly 800,000 people. However, the San Francisco Bay Area, which takes into account San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose and surrounding areas, has a population of over seven million people. With its roots firmly planted in the California Gold Rush, San Francisco has many historical sites in and around town. By booking a California vacation rental in the San Francisco area, you can fully absorb the history of the city.

When you are in San Francisco, one thing you have to do is ride in a cable car. With over thirty cable cars zigzagging their way throughout the city, cable cars are a famous part of the San Franciscan landscape.

If you love Chinese food, you have to make a trip to Chinatown. Located in downtown San Francisco, Chinatown is a slice of China within the borders of the city. San Francisco is also home to beautiful California vacation resorts and California villa rentals. If you don't want to stay in the city itself, also consider staying in Stinson Beach or Half Moon Bay.
