February 5, 2010, Newsletter Issue #204: Choosing Your Hawaii Island

Tip of the Week

When it’s time to run away to a Hawaii vacation rental, the first step is to decide which island or islands you want to visit. The big eight islands include: Oahu , Maui , Hawaii (the Big Island ), Kauai , Molokai , Lanai , Niihau and Kahoolawe. (Note: Kahoolawe is unpopulated and Niihau is privately owned. Neither island is open to the public.) Here are some questions to help you decide which island matches your personal vacation preferences:
Do you enjoy non-stop attractions and activities? An Oahu vacation rental offers the most entertainment, sightseeing activities and nightlife…and crowds.
Do you enjoy outdoor fun? Maui is a Mecca for outdoor adventure…above and below the water and high in the mountains. Snorkel or dive in crystal waters. Hike or bike down a volcano. Play tag beneath a waterfall. Golf scenic and challenging greens. Don’t miss sunrise over the Haleakala Crater.
Want to relax and revive? Kauai vacation rentals are havens of serenity away from the crowds on larger islands.
Bringing the kids? Choose a Waikiki vacation rental for loads of activities for all ages or a Maui vacation for outdoor fun.
