April 11, 2008, Newsletter Issue #110: What to Look for in a Vacation Rental

Tip of the Week

Planning a trip to California soon? Deciding between a hotel or in a California vacation rental? First and foremost, think about what is the purpose of your trip and what your expectations are. California vacation rentals may cost a little more than a standard hotel room, but hardly more than a moderately priced hotel room. If you eliminate the price of the vacation rental as a factor, here are the pros of choosing a California vacation rental for your vacation. Among the pros are:

· Spacious accommodations

· Jacuzzi or hot tub

· Spectacular views

· Family or romantic atmospheres

· Privacy

· Seaside Locations

Among the cons of choosing a vacation rental are:

· Costs

· Distance from attractions

· Planning ahead

· Inspecting the property ahead of time

When it comes to choosing your vacation rental in Southern California, you need to take the time to look at the size of the rental and the amenities. You also want to check the location and what is in the vicinity. A beautiful vacation rental with a spectacular view that is an hour or more away from anything you want to do may not be what you are looking for.
